This house worked out great for us and Andy was very responsive from the start to finish. We had three families share this house for the whole winter season. The house was plenty big for all of us. We had so much fun together that all three families came up nearly every weekend! The snow couldn't have been better, the location was perfect, and it felt great leaving our gear at the house, cars in the garage, and fly home for a short work week. This was bucket list experience for sure and we couldn't have picked a better house or a better winter to do it.
We rent a few homes every year and this one is now at the top of our list. It has a nice flat driveway and is only 2 story (less stairs than others). It was clean, comfortable, and decorated very nice. We spent many nights at the dinning room table playing games. The chairs are so comfortable. The kitchen is so huge, that you can easily have several people in there working without bumping into each other. There were tons of dishes and cookware. We used the pool table everyday. There were a few more chairs by the pool table that the photos don't show. It was nice to have seating to watch the game. They provided tons of bright white towels. I almost bought night lights but didn't, Only to find that there were several throughout the house. Booking with Andy was great. He made it so much easier than many of the other seasonal renatals we have booked. He is very professional. This was a great experience all the way around!
We always need a large house and this house is not only large, but wonderful and worked out great for us between Xmas break and Presidents week. It is not only everything it claims to be (location, amenities, and even the pictures are very accurate, but one thing that is not listed on the site is how incredibly responsive the owner is! Andy, the owner always got back to me very quickly. If you need a seasonal rental in Mammoth, don't miss out on a this one. It is a real find!
We had 4 families share this wonderful mountain home for a good part of the summer. When we were all together we each had our own suite plus two extra rooms for kids. Very fun and comfortable home with a great location. Can’t wait to go back!
Our family just returned from Mammoth-Holiday. We had 6 adults and 5 children ages 7-18. The house was absolutely beautiful with lots of room for all of us. The bedrooms are very nice and have great black-out type blinds so everyone slept great. The kitchen (as is mentioned in other comments) is wonderful. We could have 3 or 4 people preparing meals and there was plenty of room. The pool table, Wii and jacuzzi got lots of action and was enjoyed by kids as well as adults.Andy thanking you for sharing your home and always being so helpful and prompt to my questions.
First off, the pictures don’t do this house justice. The feeling you get when you walk in with the views of the trees is incredible. We were fortunate enough to arrive during a snow storm and it was a winter wonderland. The trees were covered in snow and you felt like you were in the middle of the forest while sitting on the couch enjoying the fire. It was so nice to have a real wood burning fireplace, it really made the ambiance special with the smells and sounds of the cracking fire.
We loved how close the house is to the mountain! We had 3 families staying and we weren’t all on the same schedule so walking to the lifts when we wanted was a treat. The walk to Eagle Lodge was easy enough for my 6 year old to do with boots on without complaining and that’s saying something!
The spa was a huge hit with the kids and adults. It was great to warm up after skiing, enjoy a drink, and breath in the mountain fresh air. The deck is right off the living room and very private from the street and other houses which was nice.
The kitchen was amazing and had everything we needed to cook our meals. We even used the BBQ on the deck for steak night. The dining table only sat 10 and there were 14 of us but it wasn’t an issue since there were plenty of bar stools at the counter and a kitchen table close by.
Thanks Andy, we will be back next year!
We had a family gathering of 6 adults and 6 kids and the house worked fantastically for us. Everyone had enough space and privacy, but the common areas were plenty big enough for us to all hang out, cook, and eat together. The pool table was fun to have right there on the main level and the kids really enjoyed the Jacuzzi. The kitchen is spacious and well stocked with pots and pans, though the knives were not very sharp so if you’re particular about that, you might want to bring your own. The 6 burner stove is plenty big enough to cook large group meals on.We were there in summer so proximity to lifts was not important, but in the winter it’s a short walk to the Eagle Lodge / Eagle Express.
We had a wonderful summer vacation in Yosemite and Mammoth, and the house was beautiful!!!!It was a family get together, 14 people between us the grandparents, my 3 sons and 8 grandchildren.we loved everything, and really felt at home, the kitchen, dinning room and living room es amazing, we did not even wanted to leave the house. the pool table was a hit and the jacuzzi too. Thank you Andy for everything, we definitely recommend your house, and the neighborhood was beautiful too.
WOW! An amazingly beautiful and inviting luxury home. Our initial walk through this gorgeous house took our breath away. The photographs that are posted on Andy’s website…well, as beautiful as they are, in person, the house is more stunning. This home is artfully crafted with rich woods and bright windows everywhere. It immediately feels like your own home. The house is very private.
BEDROOMS. We were a family of four (parents and young teenagers) and two singles. The six bedrooms/five baths were perfect for us. The beds and bedding were very comfortable. Nice soaps, shampoos, conditioners, and hand lotions in the bathroom, plus shower cap and a little sewing kit. The baths were immaculately clean.
KITCHEN. Big and beautiful. We cooked in every night. Modern top-notch appliances. Very good assortment of dishes, glasses–including wine glasses, pots, pans, silverware, and utensils. When we were there, we also found paper towels, baggies, and spices. But bring anything special that you’ll know you’ll need, or be prepared to buy stuff at Vons if the last renter used something up.
JACUZZI! Fabulous. Powerful and hot. Very well maintained. Plenty of room for four, but room for more. Each corner seat has a different arrangement of jets. Took a while to figure out the buttons. Just keep on hitting them until you get all the jets going + a furious foamy surface + jets for the calves and feet (in the center) going. There are also big knobs all around the ledges. Some of those need to be at the correct position to have certain jets at full power. When you do, you’re in for a treat.WASHER AND DRYER. Again, very nice appliances. I found detergent but no softener. Consider bringing a little with you.
PROXIMITY TO EAGLE LODGE. The house is very close to Eagle Lodge, but we still drove. The walk is 400 ft down one street, 700 ft down another, and finally 250 ft up the walkway to the door to Eagle Lodge. That’s 1/4 mile total. I walked back to the house one day, in my ski boots. Not too bad, but probably a little too long for kids, depending on their moods.
OUR HOST. Finally, high praise for Andy, too. He was a pleasure to do “business” with. Great communications–even during our stay, organized, accommodating, and kind. Thank you, Andy, for a wonderful stay!
We will definitely be re-booking! Over the moon loved our stay in your wonderful home! Not only is it gorgeous, well equipped, and spacious, but the WALKING distance to slopes is heaven!!!!!
